Cook With Me #4 - Peppered Mushrooms & Eggs on Toast

My favourite thing to eat for days where I want cafe breakfast food is peppered mushrooms and scrambled eggs on toast. Like with all my recipes, it's pretty simple to make but it's super delicious.
If you don't have any bread at home you could always add the peppered mushrooms to pasta or even rice.

What you'll need:

  • Mushrooms (2 mushrooms for a slice of bread)
  • Garlic oil (olive oil infused with some garlic)
  • Black pepper
  • Salt or chicken powder
  • Eggs (1 egg for two slices of bread)
  • Bread (toasted so that it doesn't soak too much moisture from the eggs or the mushrooms)
  • Pasta or rice (if you don't have bread)

What you'll need to do:
  1. In a small pan heat up the garlic oil and add in the mushrooms, Cook for about 30 secs on low heat and if the mushrooms haven't released much liquid then add in about two table spoons of water.
  2. Add as much pepper to your liking into the pan and and sprinkle in some salt. Cook on high until all liquid as evaporated and the mushrooms are nicely cooked.
  3. Toast up some bread in a toasted or grill, making sure to keep an eye on it so that it doesn't burn.
  4. Scramble up some eggs and leave aside until the mushrooms are done in order to construct your meal.

I don't think there is a recipe that is simpler than this and with every recipe you can add in anything you want or change things around. Have fun cooking, and I hope you all keep smiling and enjoy your day! :)
